You’ve reached the edge of the map, which means you either have deep, unanswered questions, or you are considering more permanent options.
Please stay.
This is a repository of despair, hope, last wishes, and future plans; this is a collection of writing that encourages authentic processing of the individual human condition.
Aestraea exists because I exist. It started in my poetry collection, unbeknownst to me. The trauma and experience I’ve had in my life are not unique to me. Others have had the same or similar. This is a way for myself and others to process grief and trauma, and live vicariously through relatable characters as they progress on their own journeys.
Aestraea is a world of vastly different people who come together through the bonds of community (and food!) to unite against the greatest fear that has ever existed: The Fear of the Unknown.
Aestraea will always be here. It always has been. You just never found the door...until now...
The Architect’s Ledger — This is the place you will find my story: the story behind the story of Aestraea and its denizens.
The Codex — This is where you will find answers to deep questions, such as ‘What is Pyraeic?’ or ‘How does magic actually work?’
Fragments from the Hearth — When you feel lost and alone, the excerpts posted here can provide you a respite of escape. Even the horrifying ones.
The Atlas — For those who need to know where they are, where they are going, and how to get there, the Atlas does the work of the Stars: It cannot bear your burdens, but it can show you the way.
The Beastiary — In the style of medieval monks, The Beastiary is the go-to place for creatures and animals that exist in the multiverse.
To enter Narnia, you must meet the criteria. To enter Rivendell, you must find favour. To join the TARDIS, you must be invited. To enter Aestraea, you must simply ask. Ask, ‘What do I seek?’ ‘What do I require?’ ‘What will fulfill my spirit in this moment?’ There are no requirements. There is no favour to be found, there is no invitation to be offered. You seek, you find.
Have a cup of kavren and lighten your burden.
